1.
Indigo 05:21
Arms hug the dirty floor Wide open like a monster's jaws Fantasy, a little more Too late to put me back together The fall was the gentle part I'm cold and drained I'm bleeding out Just let me rest I'm bleeding out And for what? Don't touch It's what I want
2.
Wither 06:04
Helpless Torn by the currents I am changed Molded into a different, crippled form And they drag me right back when they want more I'm but a whisper I am the howling wind I am the tears of falling rain I'm but a thought My skin is a veil Worn thin Over jaded coil Dormant and shattered My breath turn to dust One day I'll soar Over the blooming field And the deep-blue tide Feel the Sun's caress It's all but a dream One Step forward Head first into elsewhere
3.
Heather 07:09
Breath in Deep Breathing in These noxious fumes They paint the world in shades of grey
4.
Bloom 08:06
Forsake me Thy lover Again urequited Walk with your pride and discard me You'll forever burden my heavy breath Have I not the right to doubt With no restraint Here I sit Quietly Quietly
5.
Homecoming 09:02
Reason and purpose are dead If I dread coming home Every single time my will is bent by my own hand Each passing day is another quiet genocide of dreams
6.
Bound 09:42
Forlorn these peaks upon which vices stood These hands so torn from pulling roots Bunches of dried leaves on dead branches Toil to stay attached To see the flower bloom So unwise to overlook the colours they will bear We'll waste away in restless days So we may dream of being so young and innocent again Reap What I sow Pay me back with sorrow The most violent coward Obscene and wretched
7.
Inert 07:26
Don't you ever feel Like you can't hold onto me? Don't you ever feel Like you're slipping through the very hands of God? Justice for the parting Let's hold onto beauty for a little while We've run so far Too far to just turn home Yet I want back I'm unsure Nothing to guide me Out of pain Noone that I could reach Noone I could reach From behind a pane of glass See familiar faces smiling Eyeing burns a faceless grin My skin grows thinner

about

Somnifer is a culmination of around a year of work done by two young and eager musicians. The songs you hear on it were made in connection with our emotions, repressed fears, guilt - Somnifer's aim is to make the listener feel like someone understands their anguish.
The album is now available on cassette tapes through Folkvangr Records.
